An Invitation to Teens from the West Nyack and New City Libraries Murder Mystery Pizza Party: Death of a Pirate!!! Planning Session: Wednesday, June 30, 7 PM at the New City Library The Party: Wednesday, July 7, 7 PM at the New City Library Meeting Room Teens from both libraries are invited to help with the planning, then come together the following week to eat pizza and solve the mystery of Blake Beard's death and the fate of his priceless treasure maps. Registration begins Monday, June 28.
Surf's Up: A Wii Tournament Wednesday, July 14 at 7 PM at the West Nyack Library Have fun in the (virtual) sun, compete for prizes and show off your skills at a series of Wii water sports. Refreshments will be served. Registration begins Tuesday, July 6.
Beachwear Workshop Wednesday, July 28 at 7 PM at the New City Library Meeting Room Does your summer wardrobe need serious help? No problem. Bring a tee shirt made with at least some cotton, and spend an evening learning tie-dying techniques and making flip-flops. Limited registration begins Monday, July 19.
Make a Splash with Authentic Asian Dishes Tuesday, August 3 at 7 PM at the West Nyack Library In keeping with this summer's theme, you will be preparing a banquet of foods where water is an essential component, including summer rolls, water dumplings, tea eggs and almond gelatin. A maximum of 15 students in grades 7 through 12 may attend. Please provide advance notice of food allergies. Limited registration begins Tuesday, July 20.
Attention YA Crafters: Peyote - bead Bracelet Workshop Tuesday, August 10 at 7 PM at the West Nyack Library Spend an evening learning the ancient technique for bead-making that produces beautiful modern jewelry. Limited registration begins July 27.
