       Author Kevin Woyce presents a gallery of original photographs and postcard

       images from his book Jersey Shore History and Facts.

       Tuesday, July 20 from 1 - 3 PM

       Like Water for Chocolate

       Film showing Friday, July 23 at 2:30 PM.

 

    □ Ancient Teachings for Modern Gardeners: the Art of Bonsai

       Wednesday, July 21 at 7 PM

       Master Gardener Ingrid DaSilva of the Cornell Cooperative Extension presents

       a workshop on growing and maintaining remarkable miniature trees.

       Registration begins July 7.

 

    □ Calling All Crafters: Create a Bead and Crystal Bracelet

       Wednesday, July 28 at 7 PM

       Jewelry designer Amy Kanarek shows how to use crystal accents to enhance

       the beauty of a beaded bracelet. A materials fee of $15.00 is required.

       Limited registration begins July 14.

 

    □ Create a Glass and Drop Bead Necklace

       Wednesday, August 4 at 7 PM

       Jewelry designer Patrice Badami teaches how to make a unique beaded

       creation. A materials fee of $13.00 is required.

       Limited registration begins July 21, with priority to patrons unable to attend

       the July 28 program.

 

    □ Art in the Afternoon: A Demonstration of the Woodcut

       Wednesday, August 11 at 2 PM

       Artist Mike Goscinsky creates an original woodcut and demonstrates its use.

       There will be a free raffle to determine who takes home the finished print.

       Registration begins July 28.

 

    □ A Perfect Summer Dessert: No Baking Required

       Wednesday, August 18 at 7:30 PM

       Margaret Murray shows how to prepare a wonderful summer trifle, and shares

       the treasured family recipe. Tasting to follow.

       Limited registration begins August 4.

 

    □ Finding the Right Job: Planning and Strategy

       Thursday, September 15 at 7 PM

       Career coach Eli Amdur presents a review of the present job market and

       suggestions on conducting a successful job search.

       Registration begins September 1.

 

    □ West Nyack's Own Who Do You Think You Are?

       Thursday, September 23 at 7 PM

       Lecturer Tony Lauriano provides guidelines for patrons interested in  

       investigating their genealogy.

       Registration begins September 8.

 

    □ Gardening for All Seasons: A Workshop on Container Plantings

       Wednesday, September 29 at 7 PM

       A Master Gardener from Cornell Cooperative Extension offers guidance and

       suggestions for growing containerized plants outside the house.

       Registration begins September 15.

 

Ongoing Workshops for Crafters

 

Open Knitting and Crocheting Sessions:

Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Adults and teens over 14 with any level of expertise are welcome on any

Wednesday or Thursday that the library is open.

 

The Origami Club will resume meetings on Saturday, September 11 at 10:30 AM.
