    □ The Enduring Mystery of UFOs

       Wednesday, June 4 at 7 PM

       Researcher Bob VanDerClock presents the results of his investigations of

       remarkable occurrences at Roswell, New Mexico and elsewhere.

       Registration begins May 21.

 

    □ A Workshop for Crafters: Summer Bouquets

       Wednesday, June 11 at 7 PM

       Alyssa of Colonial Florists returns to teach techniques for arranging seasonal

       flowers to maximize their beauty. A materials fee of $8.00 is required.

       Limited registration begins May 28.

 

    □ All About Crystals

       Wednesday, July 9 at 7 PM

       They have been used in healing rituals, as art objects and jewelry, and to 

       enhance spirituality. Instructor Gina Liberti presents a workshop focusing on

       multiple aspects of the crystal. Each attendee will receive one as a gift.

       Registration begins June 25.

 

    □ Temporary Artistry: Henna Tattoos

       Wednesday, July 16 at 7 PM

       Nuzhat and Gia Chawala demonstrate the techniques of decorating the body

       with henna motifs. Attendees will receive henna tattoos.

       Limited registration begins July 2.

 

    □ Crafters' Workshop: Create a Pearl Bracelet

       Wednesday, July 23 at 7 PM

       Ellen and Glen Arkin of Strawtown Jewelry present a class on jewelry design

       using colored pearls and gemstones. A materials fee of $8.00 per person will be

       charged.

       Limited registration begins July 9.

 

    □ Crafters' Workshop: Art from Nature

       Wednesday, July 30 at 7 PM

       Art teacher Maud Guilfoyle teaches how the environment can be used to inspire

       creativity with pencil and paper. Attendees will complete a drawing during the

       class. A materials fee of $2.00 per person will be charged.

       Limited registration begins July 16.

 

    □ Crafters' Workshop: Creating Everlasting Bouquets

       Wednesday, August 6 at 7 PM

       Master Gardener Donna Cook presents a program on the art of drying and

       pressing flowers. Attendees will complete an arrangement during the class. A

       materials fee of $7.00 per person will be charged.

       Limited registration begins July 23.

 

    □ To Your Health: An Introduction to Pilates

       Wednesday, September 10 at 7 PM

       Join instructor Scott Cantor to learn the principles of an exercise program

       combining strengh-training and relaxation.

       Registration begins August 27.

 

    □ Don't Push the Panic Button: Troubleshooting Strategies for Your Computer

       Wednesday, September 17 at 7 PM

       Joel Wachtel offers clear and sensible advice for dealing with hard-drive

       crashes and nasty computer viruses.

       Registration begins September 3.

 

    □ Crafters' Workshop: The Art of the Penny Rug

       Wednesday, September 24 at 6:30 PM

       In bygone days, thrifty homemakers saved scraps of cloth, used coins as a

       pattern to cut them into neat circles and turned them into unique furnishings.

       Crafter Colleen Nunes shows how this technique is used to create a small table

       runner. A materials fee of $7.00 is required.

       Limited registration begins September 10.

      

 

Ongoing Workshops for Crafters

 

    □ Open Knitting and Crocheting Sessions:

       Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM and

       Thursdays, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

       Adults and teens over 14 with any level of expertise are welcome on any

       Wednesday or Thursday that the library is open.

 

    □ The Origami Club will resume meetings on Saturday, September 13 at 10:30 AM.
